What Adaptability Does

Adaptability supports schools across Chicagoland by providing Adapted Physical Education classes, services and Professional Development. We currently provide Adapted Physical Education services to more than 260 students each week. Adaptability was founded by Charlie Rowe after seeing a large need for quality physical education services for students with diverse abilities across Illinois. Prior to opening Adaptability in June of 2016, Charlie served as the Adapted Physical Education teacher for a Special Education cooperative and nine of their member school districts.

How It Started

Charlie began to dream of opening his own company to provide quality APE services to children throughout Chicagoland. In the same month he was finalizing his business plan, he found out his goddaughter would soon be born with Down Syndrome and CHD. It was fate. He knew this was the right time to take the leap so all children, including his goddaughter, would have the opportunity to receive the quality APE services they need. Adaptability has steadily grown since then!
